Untainted, Unconditional Love

You don't even have to be an animal lover to have witnessed the unconditional love that puppies give. It makes me wonder why people aren't wired that way.

It reminds me of God's love for all life- Psalm 36: 6-7 Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the great deep. O Lord, you preserve both man and beast. How priceless is your unfailing love.

I see the example of this daily with our 7 lb miniature toy poodle named "Schnookie". He is so incredibly loving and faithful. It doesn't matter if I scolded him or hugged him before I left the house, he has the same unwavering greeting each time I see him -- tail wagging and unmatched enthusiasm. In fact if I have been on an overnight trip, he squeals he is so happy to see me.

I can learn from Schnookie's example of untainted,unconditional love. It is simple and holds no expectations. It is unwavering and energizing. In fact, it is priceless unfailing love.

Try this experiment... Put your dog and your loved one in the trunk of the car for an hour.
When you open the trunk, who is really happy to see you???
